Captains log 10.57am

eh?

The main library closes early on Saturdays so I had only intermittent internet after that. I started reading an interesting book though, which I will continue today.

I was dreading going out into the cold last night, but once I was out I enjoyed the freedom of the big dark cold city, it means a lot to me to have escaped the church and their intervention and to be free from their police cells and police brutality, even though the damage will last forever.

I went to McD's and exchanged my stickers for a cup of tea, then I went to the Samaritans, which started difficult and turned out ok.
Then it was soup kitchen time, soup kitchen was ok, they gave me a jumper and some gloves. I was really worried about sleeping arrangements, I have not yet moved to the sleeping place that the volunteer told me about, but I will, so I went back to the alleyway where I used to sleep. I bedded down there in the cold and slept lightly, then the weatehr warmed up a bit and I slept more deeply. I dreamed about police and the church.

I woke up and shivered my way to the bush where my bedding currently lives, then I went to the market, no one was there yet, so I went to McD's with my stickers and got a cuppa and went in the toilets there to start my wash -wet wipes, deodourant, mouthwash, comb.

I went over to church for early service and survived.
I went back to the market and had some tea and toast and discussed Christmas with the man who volunteers at the christmas day for homeless and vulnerable people.

I went to the toilets and changed my socks and underwear, cut and scrubbed my nails, drank TCP to stop a sore throat. Went back to the market stall and had another cuppa, it is freeezing outdoors!
I am now in the library with my book, I will be going to the church to beg tea in a minute. :)
