When I left the hostel this morning I went to drop my backpack off in storage, it is a bit lighter because I have sorted through it and thrown half of my worldly goods away.
Then I went to the library, first thing I did was return two of my books through the self service machine, the machine was being naughty and also scanned the book I was not returning even though it was still in my bag, I called the librarian over and she laughed and said that the machine was being too clever.
She re-issued the book that the machine had grabbed.
Then I set up the computer and got some of my book written, a few pages of the worst year of my younger life.
And then I thought it may be lunchtime, so I went looking for lunch, which is quite a task in this town, and in the end it was time for the afternoon daycentre and another of the clients was heading that way and dragged me along there by my ear (only joking) so I sat in there and read my book, again it was a book with similarities to my story, and I drank lots of tea, and the staff found me a spare duvet for tonight.
Then back into the wild. It has been wet and rainy for the last 24 hours, with no change, and the forecast is bad for tonight.
No worries.
I am looking forward to my lovely soup kitchen.
I went to put my duvet in storage but there was only a rude backpacker there, hm, it is turning into a stressful day, I went to the Post Office to make sure I could get money for tomorrow, but as I am at the counter waiting to take my money out, some woman comes tearing up and barges me out the way, claiming she left her bag there, every time I try to put my card in the machine this woman barges again and the assistant says and does nothing, so I walk away, get another ticket and wait to go to another counter.
I feel sorry for the two children with that rude woman, they are being brought up to believe that it is ok to shove people out the way and ignore their priority with no apology.
Anyway, rant over.
Time for a nice cup of tea.
Right, the library closes in a few minutes, I have very little internet access over this weekend especially as I am on the move now for a few days, I will update you if and when I can, but just don't worry.
A survivor of Church abuse and cover ups goes on battling for her voice to be heard. A daily account of life after the Diocese of Winchester destroyed her and the slow and painful steps to rebuilding a life.
Introduction
This is a merge of my 'Wanderer' blog that tells of two years of my three years on the streets, and a new blog that tells of my life after the Diocese of Winchester ripped through my life for for the last few years on top of the previous serious harm that left me homeless
This is a day to day blog of my life as I continue to survive, work on recovery and on the social problems that I have and try to come to terms with limitless traumas I have survived along the way.
This blog is in tandem with my blog about my experiences in the Church of England http://whatreallyhappenedinthechurch.blogspot.co.uk/
The former name of this blog and the name of it's sister blog are to do with my sense of humour, which I hope to keep to the end, which appears to be ever more rapidly approaching. At least I laughed, and I laughed at the people who were destroying me. Don't forget that.
