I went to the homeless lunch, my weekly dose of humiliation and gossip. But no, the gossips are bored, my friend Scotty appeared. It's funny how P. reappeared yesterday and Scotty appeared today, I have never seen him have lunch here before, we talked about life outdoors and indoors, he says he thinks he will be here indoors for a year or so before moving on. A serving lady joined our conversation and we ended up talking about the war and different nations.
Lunch was ok, then I went to take a Christmas card to the daycentre, with a note of appreciation for their help. I had a quick cuppa and read my book, then I went to get a new bandage for my leg and a bottle mouthwash.
Yesterday I found a £5 by a cashpoint, I went to pick it up and the lady using the cashpoint looked round, I showed her the note and asked if it was hers, she looked bewildered, she looked at her purse and cards and hesitated and said she didn't think it was hers, I told her I was homeless and asked if I could keep it and she looked relieved and said that I could.
