Stop the Traffik

http://www.stopthetraffik.org/default.aspx

One of my favourite charities is called Stop the Traffik.
They work to prevent people being trafficked as slaves and they work to rescue and help people who have been trafficked.

I met Stop the Traffik through their inspiring show 'Cargo', a few years ago and though I have never had any money to give them, I have always admired their work.
I intended to write about them for a writer's competition once, but circumstances prevented me completing my writing.
They are based in London at Waterloo, and ironically I collapsed with hypoglycemia outside their office while I was homeless in London. But at a time when no-one was there, and the church next to them had the view of homeless people that too many people and churches in London have - homeless people are bad news, giving them tea with sugar in will attract more homeless people and then the place will be overrun.
Thankfully I managed to stagger back to Waterloo station from there and I found £15 on waterloo station and had plenty of tea with sugar in and some food!
